Script output during execution

I have some time consuming commands being executed in post install actions. One of these is configuring an Oracle database in silent mode using dbca. This command takes about 20 minutes. The standard output of this command gives some progress information that would be great to display so the user knows that something has not frozen. Right now they just see an indeterminate progress bar with a message that says configuring database.

I can store the standard output in a variable and display it after the command is finished, but is there a way of displaying the output as the command is executing? Is there some kind of windows command line trick to do this? Maybe displaying the output in another window?
