Run EXE in preinstall task

Hello friends,

I need to install mysql.exe in preinstall task..i hv added execute batch/script in pre-install task & i have given given path in script like "$USER_INSTALL_DIR$$/$mysql-essential-5.1.68-win32.msi" but while running the installer this pre installation is not working.i mean mysql installation is not started..any suggestions pls?

I got the solution for this..we can run script in pre-install or post install task so that exe can run!
