Is it possible to digitally sign the launcher for a Java application?

Hi all,

As the thread title says, is it possible to sign the Java application launcher that is auto-generated by InstallAnywhere?

My problem:

I have a Java application that requires Administrator level access in Windows, which is easy enough to configure in InstallAnywhere. However, when the application is launched via the auto-generated exe, the Windows UAC prompt warns that the publisher is unknown. I would like to sign the exe but since it's auto-generated, I'm not sure how to do that.

Just to clarify, I am talking about the launcher, NOT the installer.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi,

AFAIK, this is not possible, there is the same problem with the uninstaller executable (there are some threads about it).

Did you try to sign the LaunchAnywheres of IA by yourself:
IA_INSTALL_DIR\resource\launchanywheres\windows\*.exe
