I am unable to get the value of the installer variable

hi,
i am using an installanywhere variable for capturing an input but i dont kn ow why it is not capturing the input .
Am i right when i give the installanywhere variable:

$EPUSER$.

Is this a standard IA variable? I don't think so! Anyway, I guess that it all depends on how you populate it and I'm afraid that without your project there isn't much help you could hope for.
