How to avoid unnecessary files in UnInstall folder
Hi,
One quick question for you. I have created multi platform(Windows, Unix, Solaris) installer through InstallAnyWhere2009. After installers were created, i have try to installed windows version on program files.
1. I have observerd that few unnecessary files shown in UnInstall folder except required unInstaller exe file(like registry.xml, InstallScript.iap.xml, Properties file, unInstall.lax, Uninstaller.jar, resource folder). How to avoid these unnecessary files?
2. I want only required unInstaller with respective operating system?(Ex: only UnInstaller.exe(ignore other files) in Windows OS).
Please give me solution for this . if possible pls provide sample articles on this.
Thanks in advance.

1. Could you please give some examples of files you deem unnecessary ?
2. Normally, this is the case, what exactly makes you think it isn't?

Please find the attached screenshot and give me your suggessions on this.
1. At present all operating system related files are populating in UnInstall folder and find the attached screenshot.
2. I want to populate only UnInstall 301_NET_de_Casino.exe in UnInstall folder and rest of the files want to ignore in Windows Operating system.
2. If i install on Unix operating system, it should show only respective unInstaller should present rest of the files want to ignore.
Please suggest me How can i handle this. This is very important for us
Thanks and Regards,
Kishore.

Oh, I think I know what your issue is: the files you see them in the Start Menu right? If this is the case obviously this is not normal, but without your project it might be hard to guess why this is happening...

I hope you are understanding my problem,
1.If you find in InstallAnyWhere GUI bydefault UnInstall Folder would populates and no changes done here.
2.I have selected different operating systems in Platform frame.
3. Finally i have build the project and install into my system start menu.
You can observed the files in the last screenshot.
My Question is:
1. Normally How to generate single UnInstaller file when we select multi platform feature?
2.Single UnInstaller file should shown with respective Operating system, when we install the installer.
Basically If you know How to configure UnInstall folder for multi platform then please share me your ideas with me .
Thanks and Regards,
Kishore.

1. As the installer is different per platform (.exe on Windows, .bin on Linux, but a different .bin on Solaris for instance) the uninstaller will be the same, and it can't be otherwise (unless of course you choose to have a single .jar for your application, but I've seldom seen this put into practice, so I don't know how exactly this works)
2. It's same as 1 isn't it?
