How do I close an application during uninstall
Is it possible to detect whether a Windows program is running, and close the application before proceeding with uninstall?

Yes, but I'm afraid you'll need custom code, unless of course the application runs as a Windows service, for which there is a built-in management action (you can stop it).

Thanks for your reply. Is there any sample custom code available online that shows how to do this?

Not that I know of... You can check the list of the available custom code here: http://www.acresso.com/downloads/downloads_7399.htm or search on this forum or on the old forums located here http://community.zerog.com

The EndProcess extension on the link you provided is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks again!
My next question is, what is the licensing policy on these custom code extensions? Can they be used and packaged in commercial applications?
