Exiting from Windows CMD Window when the EXE is launched in SILENT mode
Hi,
I wanted to run a EXE in SILENT on Windows 2008 R2 OS from CMD window.
I have ran it using the regular command.
-f
Now, my concern is the EXE is launched separately and the control from CMD window coming out. i.e., I can exit that window. And the installation goes on. But, I do not get the status os the installation. I need to look at the 'Windows TaskBar' to see if the installation is finished. moreover, I don't even know whether the installation is a success ir not. Whereas in Linux, I can see the status in the console and can see the progress on the console.
Am I doing something wrong in case of Windows or do I need to make any changes to my project to get it work on Windows?
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Rangarao

Did you select the "wait until process has finished" box?

Hi nosrednayduj,
I am sorry if I do not get your question correctly. What is the relation of these two things? I thing that is to select when you launch a command and you want to halt further processing of the installer till this command finishes. But, my problem is my command window gets exited once I launch the installer.
Thanks,
Rangarao

Sorry, I misunderstood your problem. Guess it doesn't help after all.
