Dual Layer DVD Media

So, I know that this question isn't directly related to IA, so if I upset anyone by posting here, I apologize in advance. But...

Has anyone had any experience with using Dual Layer DVDs to distribute installers on non-windows (HP,Solaris,AIX) platforms? One of our installers is quite large and I'm investigating the possibility of using DL DVD rather than splitting the installer amongst multiple single layer DVDs. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Indeed it's not really an IA related question, I guess it's mostly related to player support for the Double Layer DVD in the HP, IBM & SUN machines...
