Does custom rule work on uninstaller?
I need to check rule to prevent non-Administrator (or Root) user run Uninstaller. I have a custom code rule already works on the installer but cannot make it work on uninstaller. So I wonder the custom rule ever work on Uninstaller at all?
Would Project | Rules | Installer Rules affect Uninstaller? Or Is the setting only affect Installation tasks?
Thanks.

Hi Gloria,
Personally I've decided not to use Rule because the behavior is quite strange. It is sometime called twice, you do not have control on it, the log is not possible...
So I prefer using a CustomCodeAction that set a variable and make a rule on the action or an Action Group based on the value of this variable.
I haven't checked if this work on uninstall. I would expect it does.
HTH,
