Could not install IA2012SP1
Hi,
I have downloaded InstallAnywhere 2012 SP1 and trying to execute it.
I have no instances of IA2012 on my machine.
I'm trying to install it in C:\Program Files (x86) and I get this error:
Not a valid InstallAnywhere folder
The chosen folder does not seem to be a valid InstallAnywhere 2012 Enterprise folder
I get the same error when trying to install in c:\ directly and in c:\program files and in any other place.
Could anyone please advice?
Thank you.

Hi,
Before you download and install the IA2012SP1 make sure you have already installed the IA2012 on you machine. On top of it you can install the IA2012SP1.
Please let me know if it helps to you.
Thanks,
Manzoor Ahmad

Hi,
Thank you for you reply,
I already have IA 2012 installed and i still got this error.
note that i also had IA2011SP4 installed in parallel, and that the 2011 was the default lunch IA (when double-click on project, the 2011 was opened).
When I uninstalled 2011 and set 2012 as the default program i could upgrade to SP1 finally.
Thank you!
Sarit

I I installed IA2012 before IA2012SP1 was launched, and I got the same error dialog, and i don't have any other previous version was installed.
