13:10:07 (lmgrd) EXITING DUE TO SIGNAL 1

Cause

The above debug log messages are typically seen when a license server is configured as Windows Service and is stopped by the following means.
  • License service is stopped by clicking the Stop Server button in the Start/Stop/Reread tab of LMTOOLS
  • License service is stopped from the Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services applet
  • License service is stopped by the "NET STOP <Service Name>" command
  • License service is stopped due to a system shutdown

Additional Reasons

  •  1.Port number conflict-Make sure that you don't have two license services running, not even for two different releases of our software. Also make sure that you have not specified an LMGRD port or vendor daemon port for the license service that is in use by the FlexNet license service from another vendor.
    2. Data Execution Prevention (DEP)- On older versions of windows, set lmgrd.exe and demo.exe as running without DEP.

    Solution:
    1.Configure Data Execution Protection settings:
    Stop Network License Manager
Open the Data Execution Protection from Control Panel > System > Advanced > Performance Settings > Data Execution Prevention.
Either set Data Execution Protection for essential Windows programs and services only or add exceptions for LMUTIL.exe, LMtools.exe, Lmgrd.exe and demo.exe and Restart the License Manager
