We have a client that do not have ICMP enabled due to security reasons. It seems that there is an echo request (ICMP) when requesting licence from our applications.
Is it possible to use FlexNet with the ICMP disabled?
@rmtron , it seems that the Flexnet License finder has a dependency on the ICMP to send the echo message. If it is disabled, then it may lead to communication issues. However, it would be worth confirming with engineering (FNP). Let me see if i can fetch more details on it for you.
In the meanwhile, can you confirm if the Flexlm License finder box is in the concern here?
