Idptr value is getting null, when accessing the licence configuration (licence from server)

lc_get_config is returning the licence configuration let's say collected in conf variable. When the licence is taken from local system using a lic file.(node lock) The conf->idptr value is not null. Where as when hosted the lic file on server.(floating) Conf->idptr value is null
What might be the issue?

I believe the idptr field returns the value of the HOSTID= field in the feature line (not the actual hostid of the client machine).  Floating licenses often don't have HOSTID= set so check if your license file has this.
