How to prevent clients from shutting down the license server
I am using lmtools to configure license servers on the cental license server.
Unfortunately I have seen clients by mistake do a remote shutdown with lmtools "force shutdown". What is the best way to prevent this ?

With lmtools, the Start/Stop/Reread tab has an "Advanced Settings" button that shows a check box where you can restrict shutting down the license server from anywhere but the system running it. (Corresponds to the -local switch to lmgrd.)
The license administration guide LicenseAdministration.pdf lists various other options.

Thanks for your advice which solved the problem.
I had a problem using lmtools.exe to set -local for the license servers and ended up setting "cmdlineparams=-local" with regedit directly.
