Add Threshold to max licenses
Hi all,
Is it possible to define a maximum number locked licenses, but allow the user to reach maximum + 10%?
I want to be able to alert the administrator that the maximum licenses has been reached, but still give our customers the option to use the system until reaching max+10%.
Regarding subscription based licensing, is it possible to alert the administrator a few days before the license is expired?
Thanks in advance,
Eran

FLEXnet licensing does support the concept of "overdraft" licenses, which is an additional license count as you describe.
For the customer's license administrator to be notified when an overdraft state has been reached, or that licenses are about to expire, FLEXnet Manager can help.

So Flexnet Manager has the above functionality? Including the overdraft of licenses?

FLEXnet licensing is what supports the overdraft licensing functionality; FLEXnet Manager is the tool that handles notifications, manages license servers, and so forth.

Thanks for your help on this issue.
As I understand, only Flexnet manager has notifications and reports functionality?

FLEXnet Publisher (licensing) handles just the licensing aspect; you can add code to your licensed application to detect how much time remains before a license expires, and display a message if the expiration is imminent, but it doesn't happen automatically.
FLEXnet Manager does have the usage reporting and alerts built-in to notify a license administrator at a customer site. FLEXnet Operations also has the ability to notify you (as the software publisher) that customers' entitlements are expiring.
