The Production Copy Service improves the quality of your testing because it includes actual, current transaction data generated by your organization and end customers. This enables your stakeholders to understand the impact of your new configurations because they are interacting with production data they are familiar with. It can also help you identify edge cases because you have a breadth of transaction data to run your own quality assurance testing on.
Who is eligible to purchase the Production Copy Service?
FlexNet Operations LLM and ALM cloud customers are eligible, and have the option to purchase a Production Copy Service environment for each production instance. A large customer that has several production instances could buy one Production Copy Service environment for each production instance.
What is the cost of the Production Copy Service?
The Production Copy Service has a yearly subscription maintenance fee that is determined by your current revenue tier, which is also used to calculate your FlexNet Operations subscription. There is no additional volume discount.
Are both the UAT and Production Copy Service environments provided?
Yes. The purchase of the Production Copy Service provides a testing environment in addition to the UAT.
How to request access to the Production Copy Service?
Access to the Production Copy Service requires an additional purchase. Please contact your Flexera representative to add the service to your current Flexera contract. After the Production Copy Service is provisioned by Flexera?s SaaS Operations team, you will be given access to your Production Copy Service environment via a specific URL. The Production Copy Service inherits access credentials from your production environment.
Q: How quickly can the Production Copy Service be up and running for my company?
A: After the Flexera SaaS Operations team provisions your Production Copy Service environment, it will contain your production data as of the last quarterly global Production Copy Service update. Set-up takes a few business days.
