Is FLEXNet Connect same as Update Service?

Hi
I am using Installshield 11.5 and we are planning to buy the latest version. We are planning to use the Update Service. I read Update Service Help Library version 4.0 and then during my search from last 2 days I found that most links are going to FLEXNet Connect.

Is this the new name for Update Service? If we purchase Installshield version 2008 how are we suppose to use Update Service or FLEXNet connect for that matter?
