Summary
This article discusses a request to add a 'Test' button next to the 'Save' button on the Email Server configuration screen which has been raised with our Product Management team under reference SCA-8238
Symptoms
Please add a 'Test' button on the Email Server configuration screen. This button should bring up a dialog, requesting a recipient for the test e-mail. The SMTP responses should then be used to flag if the configuration has been successful or not.
If the test fails, the administrator can reconfigure the parameters as necessary, before re-testing.
This will ensure that the mail configuration is correct before system e-mails can be relied on.
