Is it possible to install Docker on a Linux server then connect to FlexNet Code Insight 2017 R3 SP1 running on a Windows server?Discussion
The 'Downloading Plugins' chapter of the FlexNet Code Insight 2017 R3 SP1 Installation and Configuration Guide contains full instructions for downloading and implementing the Docker images scan plugin and includes instructions on how to connect the plugin to the FlexNet Code Insight server in the 'Installing and Launching the Docker Images Scan Plugin' section of the guide. The guide states that you must include the 'codeinsight.server (required): The URL path to the FlexNet Code Insight server' in the properties file and you can then run the plugin independently by running the 'code-insight-docker-plugin.sh -image ' command on the Docker server. Once the image has been downloaded and scanned the plugin will send the inventory results to FlexNet Code Insight.
