BSD License
Hi all,
does Flexera recognise BSD license? There is a project that contains open-source BSD code, but it seems like Flexera does not recognize it.
According to this article (in German, https://www.revenera.de/about-us/press-center/flexera-veroffentlicht-statusreport-zu-open-source-lizenzierung) Flexera should be able to recognize it. How can we find out if a project contains open-source BSD code?
Thank you in advance.
Kind regards,
Yavor

Hi @ylakov,
Yes, Code Insight recognizes the family of BSD licenses. Your scan results will depend on the files you are scanning. In the case of open-source code, you will have to make sure you are using the Comprehensive Scan profile. This will allow you to find exact and partial matches in the source code. Please refer to the following article for more details on this process:
https://docs.revenera.com/fnci2022r4/Content/helplibrary/Viewing_Exact_Matches.htm
For other file types, such as a license file or a manifest file, Code Insight can detect the license without additional steps required. More information on license information can be found here:
