  1. Can I remove users from IT Asset Accounts > All Accounts?

    I want to remove some users who have left the company. I understand that I can go to User Management, select a user, and click the REMOVE button. However, there is also a user list under IT Asset Accounts. It looks like I can only Disable accounts there, not remove them. Why can't I remove users there?

    We are looking to integrate Flexera data with our reporting and would like to retrieve End-of-Life (EOL) information for operating systems and software products through Flexera APIs.

     

    Could you please help us with the following details?

    1. Which API endpoint(s) can be used to retrieve EOL information for software and operating systems?
    2. Does the API provide the following attributes?
      • EOL Date
      • EOL Status (Supported/Unsupported/EOL)
      • End of Support Date
      • Product Name
      • Product Version
      • Publisher/Vendor
    1. Could you share the relevant API documentation and sample request/response payloads?

  3. I am looking into monitoring usage on application Think-Cell which is an add-in to PowerPoint and Excel. Are there any out-of-the-box reporting I can benefit from? Any recommendations is highly appreciated.

    • Thanks for the feedback. Beside looking at the app itself, I managed to locate a standard report that seemed to support my needs. The report is located in the menu of 'Reporting/Application Reports/Application Installation Details With Usage Sessions'. Running the report based on publisher Think-cell, I get Last Used together with the number of Usage Sessions. I believe this data will at the very least give me an indication of usage or not. Any thoughts on that?

    I need to import installed software with "Calculated Support Lifecycle Stage Name".

    Is "Calculated Support Lifecycle Stage Name" available in graphql?

    Do you have any idea where to find it?


  5. Progress Bar Disappeared in ITAM

    Hello,

    Is there a reason why Flexera have removed the progress bar (3 dots)? When entering search criteria in ITAM, I used to see 3 dots indicating that the search is being processed, however these have completely disappeared.

    If this has been removed, what was the rationale behind it please?

      Hi everyone thanks for raising this and confirming the behaviour you're seeing. I have checked internally and this has been reported to our team, who were currently investigating it. I don't have any further updates to share at the moment but I appreciate this might impact your work, please continue to work with Flexera Support so that they can track your case and keep you updated.

  6. When working in Report Management the system is extremely slow loading a report, spins while loading, taking more than 5 minutes.

    The reports contain EOSL dates with 6-month forecast. I have run from desktop and from server. If I make a name change, indexing takes over 2-3 minutes for me to be able to view report. Any ideas why or anything I can do to resolve?


  7. I'd like to know if FlexarOne has alert notifications for Admins when scheduled jobs or sync's fail to run? If not, please log an internal ticket on this as this would be great to have in place.

  8. IT Visibility: Full Transparency into File Evidence UI

     

    Software Evidence UI has been enhanced to display all file evidence collected from your environment, giving you a complete view of your discovery data. 

    What's New? 

    File evidence is now grouped into three categories: 

    • Active (Technopedia Mapped): Recognized and mapped to a known software product. 
    • Unrecognized: Collected but not currently mapped to Technopedia. 
    • Irrelevant: Excluded from recognition of workflows.  
    • A supporting Irrelevant Reason column is now available in both the UI and CSV exports. 

    These categories are visible in Devices (Inventory > IT Visibility Devices > Devices > File Evidence tab) and Software Evidence (Applications & Evidence > IT Visibility Software > Software Evidence > File Evidence tab) 

     

    How the UI Works 

    • File evidence is pre-filtered to Active by default. Unrecognized or Irrelevant evidence can be selected as required. 
    • Summary counts at the top of the page reflect only Active (Technopedia Mapped) file evidence, so your existing recognition metrics remain unchanged. See more details below in Understanding File Evidence Recognition

     

    Understanding File Evidence Recognition 

    File evidence is a supplementary data source in IT Visibility, useful for validating executables, troubleshooting, and supporting investigative workflows. It is not the primary path for software recognition, which is driven by installer-based evidence and Technopedia normalization. As a result, a large volume of unmapped file evidence is expected and does not indicate a recognition issue. The new categorization simply provides greater visibility into your raw file evidence data.
