Hi community,
does anyone know why it is not possible to have org data columns in the consumption tab of a "SaaS User" license?
Only a small subset of information is available.
Thanks,
Max

We are pulling user information for ITAM from AD, but at the same time we have SaaS setup for Microsoft, Adobe etc. This is causing a larger number of duplicate user data as there are multiple users pulled in both through SaaS and AD for ITAM.
I was wondering if there is a best practice to merge/ignore or do anything to avoid the duplicates in our reporting.
Thank you!
Martin Szabo

Addressing duplicate users in ITAM and Flexera SaaS Manager is crucial for optimizing resource allocation. Streamlining these processes not only improves efficiency but enhances overall data integrity across platforms.

Hi,
I've been reading the documentation to understand the agent-based browser extension features (https://docs.flexera.com/flexera/EN/SaaS/agent-based-browser-extensions.htm). It repeatedly mentions an Allowlist to filter browser URLs, to keep the amount of data manageable and, I assume, for data privacy reasons as well.
All that time I was under the impression that this Allowlist can be managed, e.g. for adding relevant URLs or removing URLs for data privacy concerns. I got the new menu in my test tenant (Data Collection > Common Inventory Tasks > SaaS Web Metering Settings), but there is no Allowlist.
Has anyone else looked into this yet? Do I misunderstand the idea of this Allowlist?
Best regards,
Markward

Has anyone implemented FSOM, the new SaaS module? If so, may I get your experiences. For example, any reconciliation errors, other types of issues? Thank you for sharing.

Yes, I would definitely hang fire. The support case has been escalated, but things are slow to progress.

I am trying to integrate Entra ID in Flexera and have different views based off a location that is also stored in Entra. i.e., managers from the different locations should only see licenses credited to their location when they log into Flexera. Entra ID is already syncing with Flexera, however, I do not know how to proceed with the views for different managers.
I have looked into enterprise groups as well, but having trouble interpreting / understanding how they can help.
Anyone with a similar or different approach?

@bsenyonyi
Depending on which views you want these managers to get access to you may be able to use enterprise groups to control which ITAM objects they would be able to see. You can configure the enterprise group data restrictions at the IT Asset Accounts Roles level, and then the license objects would have be restricted at their Ownership tab level. This will merely work for the views accessed through the ITAM menus and for created or imported objects in ITAM, i.e., this restriction will not apply to the Flexera One SaaS Management menus/views so you shouldn't give these managers access to these menus/views.

I can't think of any reason beyond it just being a limitation in the UI around what fields are implemented to be available for selection in this particular grid.
The Flexera Ideas site (https://flexerasfdc.ideas.aha.io/) can be used to log a suggestion for adding additional fields. Raising an idea will allow other people to vote on it to also express their interest, and bring it to the attention of the relevant Flexera Product Managers for consideration.
Alternatively, the following idea has already been logged with a similar suggestion:
https://flexerasfdc.ideas.aha.io/ideas/ITAM-I-249 Add Last used date on the license consumption tab of user licenses
That idea hasn't had much interest yet, so voting for it and adding a comment about the particular other fields you're interested to see added may help it get more attention.
