    Customer Impact:

New Features (SaveRawData – RHEV & vSphere)

    • The addition of the SaveRawData capability enables customers to capture raw API responses locally, providing greater transparency into source data and facilitating easier validation against connector output. This enhances troubleshooting efficiency, reduces reliance on extended support cycles, and enables faster diagnosis and resolution of connector-related issues.

    File-based Discovery (IP Formatting)

    • IP address values are now processed independently of system regional settings, ensuring consistent and accurate formatting across environments and eliminating discrepancies caused by locale-specific formatting differences in discovery data imports.

BMC Helix ITSM Connector (Duplicate CIs)

    • Improved validation logic ensures that existing configuration items are correctly updated rather than duplicated, resulting in more accurate CMDB data and improved data reliability for downstream ITSM processes.

    Microsoft SCCM Connector (UI Issue)

    • User interface adjustments ensure that configuration form buttons remain visible even on lower screen resolutions, improving usability and accessibility for users operating in constrained display environments.

Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization Connector (IP Parsing)

    • Enhanced IP address parsing ensures that host and virtual machine IP addresses are accurately captured from API responses, improving inventory completeness, licensing accuracy, and datacenter hierarchy representation.

Red Hat OpenShift Connector (Inventory Data Creation Failure)

    • Resolution of the internal encryption issue ensures that inventory files are successfully generated after data aggregation, enabling reliable Snowpack creation and uninterrupted downstream processing.

Red Hat OpenShift Connector (Datetime Handling)

    • Improved handling of null and malformed datetime values increases connector stability, reducing failures during test connection and data collection and enabling more consistent OpenShift data ingestion.

Nutanix Acropolis Connector (IP Data Completeness)

    • Support for both assigned and learned IP addresses ensures more complete and accurate inventory data collection from Nutanix environments, improving data quality and visibility.

    HPUD Connector (Duplicate Matching Records)

    • Corrected mapping logic ensures that only a single valid record is matched when processing entries with identical versionid values, eliminating duplicate matching errors and improving overall data consistency and integrity.

Pre-Release notification on SAM Core - Snow Atlas: Support for importing Excel files (xlsx)

Release information: You can now import asset data using Excel (.xlsx) files in addition to CSV when importing changes to your assets in SAM Core. This removes the need to convert spreadsheets before importing, letting you work with the file format you already use.

What problem are we solving? SAM Core previously only accepted CSV files for asset imports. Customers who maintained business processes built around Excel spreadsheets had to convert their files before every import - a manual step that added friction and increased the risk of errors. Excel import was supported in the previous version of the product, making this a regression for customers who migrated to Snow Atlas.

    Summary Info

    • Release Domain: SAM on Atlas - Asset Imports
    • Release Tier: Minor Release
    • Release Availability: GA
    • Release Date: 8 June 2026

    Before Scenario

    • Asset imports only accepted CSV file format.
    • Customers with Excel-based business processes had to manually convert files to CSV before importing.
    • Workflows that previously worked with xlsx imports in the legacy product required rework after migrating to Snow Atlas.

    Negative Consequences

    • Additional manual steps required for every import cycle for customers using Excel.
    • Increased risk of data errors introduced during file conversion.
    • Business processes built on Excel imports had to be changed following migration to Snow Atlas.

    After Scenario - Key Enhancements

    • Excel Import Support: Asset imports now accept .xlsx files across all supported asset types, including Computers, Users, and Agreements.
    • No change to existing CSV imports: All existing CSV-based import workflows continue to function as before.
    • Updated UI: The import interface now clearly communicates that both CSV and Excel file formats are supported.

    Positive Business Outcomes

    • Reduced friction for SAM Managers who maintain import workflows using Excel.
    • Eliminated need for manual file conversion prior to import, reducing processing time and error risk.
    • Restored parity with legacy import behaviour, supporting a smoother transition to Snow Atlas for migrating customers.

  3. Release notification on SAM Core - Snow Atlas: Add License entry point on Application detail pages

    Release information:

You can now navigate to the Add License page directly from any Application detail page tab in SAM on Snow Atlas. When you navigate this way, the Application Name field is pre-populated automatically, making it faster to complete the license record.

    What problem are we solving?

The release of the new Application detail pages in July 2025 removed the ability to create a license directly from the Application context. Users had to navigate away from the application they were working with, open the Add License page independently, and manually search for and select the application - adding unnecessary steps to a common workflow.

    Summary Info

    • Release Domain: SAM on Atlas - Applications
    • Release Tier: Minor Release
    • Release Availability: GA
    • Release Date: 12 May 2026

    Before Scenario

    • Users could not initiate license creation from the Application detail page.
    • Users had to navigate to the Add License page independently and search for the application manually.
    • Application context was lost during the license creation workflow.

    Negative Consequences

    • Increased steps for a common day-to-day SAM workflow.
    • Higher risk of data entry errors when manually selecting the application on the Add License page.
    • Reduced efficiency for SAM Managers and Compliance Analysts managing licensing at scale.

    After Scenario - Key Enhancements

    • Add License Entry Point: An Add License entry point is now available on all Application detail page tabs, keeping users in context throughout the workflow.
    • Pre-populated Application Name: The Application Name field on the Add License page is automatically filled based on the application navigated from, reducing manual input and improving accuracy.
    • Editable Pre-population: The pre-populated field remains editable, supporting scenarios such as versionless applications or licenses scoped across an application family.

    Positive Business Outcomes

    • Reduced friction for SAM Managers and Compliance Analysts in high-frequency licensing workflows.
    • Improved data entry accuracy through application context carried into the Add License page.
    • Faster license creation with fewer steps from discovery to record completion.

  5. NEW: Agreement Ingestion

    Release date: April 14, 2026

Agreement Ingestion Engine is an AI-powered capability that extracts contract data from uploaded documents and presents it in a review interface where SAM administrators can verify, edit, and approve extracted fields before submission to SAM. In the Agreements section of SAM on Snow Atlas, you can now upload contract documents (PDF files) and leverage AI extraction to accelerate contract onboarding while maintaining compliance through a mandatory review and approval workflow.

Using Agreement Ingestion Engine, you can significantly reduce the time required to onboard new software agreements—from 30+ minutes of manual data entry to 3-5 minutes of AI-assisted verification. This enhancement enables SAM teams to upload contracts faster while maintaining data accuracy and compliance standards through human-in-the-loop review, mandatory approval checkboxes, and complete audit logging that demonstrates proper contract verification procedures.

For more information about Agreement Ingestion(contract extraction) workflows, and compliance requirements, see "Agreement Ingestion" in the Flexera help.
