Is there a way to view every scheduled report in License Manager?

Our system is set up so that any SLM user can create their own scheduled report.

Our stage system is restricted to a very small number of support, ITAM, and test users.

However when we refresh stage from prod all of the prod users (who would otherwise not exist in stage) are copied back to the stage system. This also includes bringing back their scheduled reports.

So, after a stage refresh, users will get a second iteration of the scheduled report (from the newly refreshed stage).

We do have a process to delete the users who would not ordinarily have an account in our stage system. So, when we delete them, it seems to take those schedule reports with them.

Ideally, we would like to be able to look in the newly refreshed stage system right away and just delete any scheduled reports as opposed to having to rely on deleting the users who created them.

From the documentation it seems that schedule reports are only available to the user that created them. Even as Administrator we are not able to see a comprehensive list of ALL scheduled reports.

I'd expect that we could be able to identify all scheduled reports in the newly refreshed stage DB, so I wanted to ask if there is some other approach we could take.

Ideally, we'd like to be able to see all the schedule reports in the SLM web UI and just disable (or delete them).

Or, maybe even a top level system setting to completely disable scheduled reporting from our stage system

Any suggestions would be a huge help, so thanks for your time in advance

  • Hi Jeff

You'll not be able to see other peoples schedule reports as a combined list in the SLM interface.

The only real way to do this is look in the LicenseManager DB at the tblReportExportSchedule table and you'll see all scheduled reports.

So you can either just blank this table on the stage/non-prod server or could block SMTP traffic from the server so it can't email anything based on the SMACC system settings for email connectivity.

  • WOW! So simple.

    Both ideas are fantastic.

Thanks you so much for these suggestions!

    So fast too!

    Much appreciated

    Jeff
