Kaur_Harpreet asked a question.
Hi,
We have upgraded our SNOW Server usning a Manifest file (Offline update). I noticed, when I selected the "use offline mode" for the update, I get the below selected options.
Now the SMaCC is still the older version after the upgrade. I am guessing it didnt do it because of the above options selected for the upgrade.
Is this true? If yes, what is the right way to upgrade SMaCC? Do I need to have SNOW Inventory and Snow License Manager Enterprise Edition upgraded as well?
Any help will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
HI,
if you select offline mode, you must create a manifest file and upload to our Snow Software Updates Portal
The Updatepackage will be created with all possible updates for your environment.
Now you can download the Updatepackage!
Click on Install Offline updates in your SUS and select your downloaded Updatepackage
Your SUS will show you the complete possible content for updating your system! Here you can select single or all updates from the package!
Your selected content will be installed! If not please contact support and raise a ticket!
BTW: Snow offers training for your Snowsystems, maybe it will a good starting point for you!
What version of the SMACC are you on? It hasn't been updated since 2019 (? give or take) so should be something along the lines of 2.0.0.69
As Laim mentioned, Snow do not update SMACC with every SLM or SIS update.
We are on
So at least with 9.21.1 some SMACC changes are included. But you see that depends on your SLM/SIS version
