Hi We have servers on protected network segments that I want to assign database license to. Is it possible to manually add servers to SLM and protect them from being quarantined. If so, can someone share how this should be done. Thanks //mats
You can install a Snow Inventory standalone Receiver in your protected network segments.
The Standalone Receiver can be used in environments where the agents are not allowed to communicate directly with a Master Server or a Service Gateway. This can be the case in companies with high-security requirements or in environments with no internet access.
The Standalone Receiver instance receives inventory data from the agents and any SIM connectors, and then saves the data either locally or to a file share. A process must then be in place for transferring the inventory data from the "isolated" environment to the Master Server or any Service Gateway.
Hi Thanks for your answer. We do have Receivers in place for other network segments but in this case it's not possible when this one is closed. Totally closed.
I only have an Excel list with servernames.
