Typically, licenses purchase via the CSP model will not appear within the Transaction Data in your Microsoft License Statement (MLS). Therefore, these do not get imported by default when an MLS import is done.
To manage CSP licenses you have a few choices. Firstly, if these licenses are reflected in your Microsoft portal, then these will be pulled into Snow automatically if you have the O365 connector. These will automatically provide coverage for certain products (Office 365, Project, Visio etc).
If, however, you are keen to see these within your licenses list, then you will need to import these via the License Import template. The challenge with this, is managing the subscriptions as they are monthly, and the quantities can change easily. This requires regular monitoring to update the licenses and quantities as they fluctuate.
For any Azure server products, you can utilise exclusions for specific products on specific VMs.
For a full view of Microsoft compliance, I would recommend ensuring that your MLS is carefully imported into Snow, in addition to your CSP details and any MPSA licenses (if relevant). This should be used in combination with exclusions (where appropriate). This will always work best with the O365 connector.
Snow offers professional services for license imports if you wish for Snow to import this data for you or provide consultancy on how to import these things yourself.
