Experiences with current Snow License Manager Version?
We all know that: A new Snow Version is released and your fingers are tingling - you want to install the update but you don't know if everything still works afterwards. This thread is meant to share experiences about current Snow versions. Which problems have occurred with the update and ran the first DataUpdateJob. Snow License Manager 9.5.1 Has anyone already installed version 9.5.1 and noticed any problems? Very important O365 Technical Description for SLM Update 9.5.1 Problems after the Update to 9.5.1   SLM 9.5.1 Applications not available or incomplete SLM 9.5.1 Unable to access the link for the Office 365 update SLM 9.5.1  O365 Bad Request Snow License Manager 9.6.0 Has anyone already installed version 9.6.0 and noticed any problems?

  • I did the update last night and forgot to close the Service Manager.   The O365 service was not properly uninstalled and reinstalled.   I did this manually afterwards and it currently looks good. Currently I see a problem that not all applications are displayed anymore. There are now much less to see.
    • no error - the last update in the o365 log said it was deleting the old service. that's as far as it got. I had updated my test environment first and it upgraded without a hitch. why would you need to close the service manager? it doesn't affect if a service can be installed or not....  We haven't had any issues with the applications - all the ones we had before the update are still in the system... sounds like a different issue to me. Sorry!

  • so it seems as though the office365 service installation failed after removing the old service. no error in SUS - but errors in SUS log files. Support have helped me reinstall the service and I'm currently running the o365 migration again. looks good so far. Did the same upgrade on my test system beforehand though and didn't encounter any issues whatsoever.... strange!
    • Yes i see the same problem on our platform with the O365 Service. really crazy :-)
  • Ok so on our platform there is actually a serious problem after the DataUpdateJob. Afterwards under Applications no applications are shown at all for some clients or only a few and also no installations and users. Please check with you if the total number of applications under "Search for applications" is still correct. We see also this in the JobLog: Action JobStep JobType ParentID ActionType ActionStart ActionStop ExecutionTime 167 7 COMPUTER_SOFTWARE_PRODUCT_UPDATE 0 PROCEDURE_STEP 2019-12-14 00:17:01.680 168 7 COMPUTER_SOFTWARE_PRODUCT_UPDATE 0 PROCEDURE_STEP 2019-12-14 00:18:58.870 169 7 COMPUTER_SOFTWARE_PRODUCT_UPDATE 1 PROCEDURE 2019-12-14 00:18:58.880 Looks strange because there is no ActionStop Timestamp available. The DataUpdateJob ends without an error message. I have already opened the ticket if someone has the same problem and wants to reference it: CS0071491 kind regards Lars

  • I am unable to access the link for the o365 update with 9.5.1. My o365 connector is not reading all the items it was prior to upgrade. Does that document describe other steps I need to take to restore the service to o365 tenant portal?
    • Hi Mark, do you see any informations in the o365 logfile? What kind of items does the connector not read? kind regards Lars
