Can anyone please advise if its possible to have the default value as no? Or to mark a value 'no' in general (without having another custom field as a yes)
Hi Gemma, By selecting the field 'Mandatory' as you have you will be required to tick or untick the box 'Yes'. if you don't select it per the screenshot then the default value 'No' will populate all the relevant fields in the category 'application' or at least it should happen that way
to validate that this is happening, open up the list all applications and select column chooser, then drag the new custom field into the list of applications and if you see all checkboxes without checks in them. IF you do, then this is correct and the custom field has a default value of 'No'. You can then test the converse and edit an application, go to the custom Information tab, select the custom field and add the check in there. Save this and list all applications again, you can filter the list of application for 'Yes' and you should find your updated application
Aaah I had this working as desired!! But I've come in this morning and theres hundreds now that have no value on a mandatory field. I don't know how to add them to the default value! Is anyone able to help please? I've tried editing and leaving it blank but it doesn't update the field, just leaves it blank. Thanks, Gemma
Hi Gemma, If I'm understanding your post correctly..., If you try editing and not actually make a change as part of that edit, it will assume no change and leave it in the state it was prior to the edit. Even if you select it and then un-select it without saving between the two changes. You will need to select one option or another and save the change for it to work. I am happy to have a call with you to go through it if you like? Can you message me a contact number and time to call that suits you? Regards, Mike
