We've an issue - Oracle DB reporting is showing duplicates of Oracle DBs. Inventory shows correct data, but SLM shows random older instance - preventing other valid instances reporting as we hit our license limit due to the duplicates

The DBs has been recreated or restored so has a different DBID. It seems to be pulling data from the purged records (we've archived a host and it brings random duyplicates back). Anyone else experiencing this?

  • Hi Detlev

This has been raised as a support ticket (04357908). Our TAM has been working on this with us but the feedback from the Oracle SMEs hasn't been positive so was looking to see if this has been seen by any other customers.

    Thanks

    Matt

  • Hi Matt,

From SLM 9.10.0 you have the possibility to tell how long to keep oracle records that dont report anymore. We settled for 10 days and that shortly eliminated the problem.
