ScouseSAM asked a question.
Good Morning,
Recently I have noticed that our master service has stopped running for unknown reasons and it's usually not for a couple of days or so that it is noticed. This means that computers don't report into Snow. We feed our CMDB with data with Snow so it is important that this service runs to avoid gaps in reporting.
Does anyone know if there is any sort of alert that can be set up to notify if this service has stopped so that it can be restarted immediately before missing any polling data?
Whether it's from a Snow setting or a windows setting from the services view, any ideas would be welcome.
It would be very useful if there was a pop up in SLM itself that was able to notify you if the service isn't running though.
Thanks in advance.
Just to add in SLM 9.9 there is now a visual indictor in SLM that the DUJ had completed (or not)
Yes, we saw that. @Mark_locked Lillywhite(Retired) do you know if that indicator appears to all SLM users?
Hi @Mark_locked Lillywhite(Retired) I also noticed that. But it unfortunatelx does not show a date, only a time.
Do you know what happens when the DUJ did not run for several days, but the last executed job (for example 1 week ago) was successful ? Will this indictor still show all is ok, or will there be a hint that DUJ did not run?
