What causes "The application is not running!" message
In the last couple of day firs thing we have come into the following on the license manager site for our on-prem server  Yesterday a reboot revived the server but today nothing, when you log on to the server directly everything looks to be working both inventory and license manager in the SMACC. I will probably log a ticket but like to be self-sufficient but in this case, I don't know where to start. Thanks in advance  Ben

  • Next time look at the Services to make sure they are all running on the SLM server. Take a look in the Event log on the SLM server too.  We used to get that if I left an IE tab open to the SNOWBoard and the DUJ ran overnight, but an F5 or refresh brought it back. 
  • We also experienced this yesterday (I guess same day as you). There was no issues noted with the DUJ and all the services looked ok. IISRESET fixed it for me. If it happens regularly I will log a call. Tom
  • Hi ‌ I hit up all the services first none had stopped but restarted them one by one and the logs drew a blank  Thanks for the tip, that did the trick will have to keep an eye on it as it does seems to suspiciously happened after the DUP has run. @Adam_davies It was already running the latest version but think Tom buttoned it with the IISreset  Thanks everyone
