All Application License list

I want to upload Microsoft licenses in snow via import template and only challenge that i am facing is that i do not have application list from snow. I do not want application list from all application but list of all application from License tab. I have some licenses like SQL server "Microsoft SQL Server 2017  Device CAL" which are not available in our application list and i want same naming convention so that i can update on the import template and upload it. Do we have all application license list?

Hi Kiran your example application License "Microsoft SQL Server 2017   Device CAL" has a double space between 2017 and Device You can go to the application menu… select your application ...open the context menu and click on add application license or go to License menu and click on add License... here you can search for your application via Name or Sku It would be best if you have the sku, here the search is most effective. This will then show you the corresponding usage rights too.

    • Thanks for your reply i know how to import licenses manually what i am looking for is bulk upload for Microsoft license hence i require application license list which will help me to map licenses as per snow application list. As you know VLSC does not have proper naming convention eg Microsoft SQL- Device CAL 2017 but snow might have different naming convention so i need all snow license application list not the one available in all application list,

Hi Kiran, as i metioned above you can search for application names via Name or SKU In addition you can compare your own Snow Softwarelist under Application - > List all applications… here you can see all applications that Snow found on your devices or use search for applications under the Applications menu Use the filter "Also not installed/used" here you have a complete list of all applications

        • Yes this is the one that i was looking for not installed thank you very much Detlev
      • Hi Kiran Can't you use the MLS import in SLM? that will show you the errors before it does the import. Then you can work your way through it. Otherwise you can always go to all applications. Filter by microsoft and then export the results to an excel spreadsheet so that you have the correct application names - you can then use vlookup in excel to link them to your import list........
