OpenStack Computers

Hello everyone,

I'm working on SLM implementation and my organization has an OpenStack environment.

We know that SLM doesn't support this hypervisor technology yet, but I would like to know if is possible to force "OpenStack" computer model to be recognized as Virtual and not as physical.

Is there a way to edit "hardware rules"? Is that possible?

    Hello Dirk, I talked to Snow support team at that time, but I didn't like the suggestion they gave to me. I was anxious to see if the SLM 9 would work with OpenStack platform, but unfortunalely it the gap remains. I'm thinking in some tricks that I belive will work as a workaround. If I have success, I will share with you.

    Hi , only "trick" I would assume working, is to overwrite the model before DUJ with something that is already known in the Snow... Also OpenStack is not the hypervisor, it's the management infrastructure around it - so what hypervisor you are using? I would assume that it is directly dependent to the model, we would see. i.e. . Or are you feeding in with SnowXML? Cheers Oli
