Windows 10 hardware compatibility report

Hi Guys,

Does anyone know what the possibilities are to verify Windows 10 hardware compatibility for all clients in SNOW license manager? I have seen the "all computers with hardware details report" but I am looking for more specific hardware info in regards to the upcoming Windows 10 build 1809 (soon to be released)

    Hi Iwan, I would like a quick way to verify if the computers within our organization meet the minimum hardware requirements for Windows 10. I was hoping there would be a (custom) report for this. regards, Huib

      Hi Huib, I have looked into it and you could use the Computer Hardware report. You can add criteria to add the display adapter. Go to the Computer Hardware report and run it. Then click Add Criteria like so: You can then add the System Disk Available as Criteria. Click Show report Click on the Column selector Add the Column System Disk Available Remove the following columns Biosserial Number, MAC ADdress, Last Logged on Users Click on the 3 dots in the upper right corner Click Save report Give the report a Name You will then have a report that meets your needs.         Hi Iwan, Do you know if it's possible to check the UEFI version of a computer? (the modern day replacement of the BIOS) Computers need to have a minimum version of 2.3.1. Is the BIOS version field in SNOW capable of retrieving this information?

          Hi Huib, Bios version is available in the All Computers report but not in the Hardware report. So yes the Bios/UEFI version is available in SLM, if we want to put that information together we would have to make a Custom Report.     Hello Huib, What are the specific details you are looking for? If you have access to the Snow Inventory Console, you could create a query to get the data and see if the requested data is available. If the data is in Snow Inventory and not in Snow License Manager, there is a possibility to ask for a custom report to show the data in Snow License Manager. You can contact your local Snow representative to ask more about customization. Kind regards, Iwan
