Quick search

In SLM 7 there was a quick search page which was great to do a quick computer search by name. If you entered as search text the exact computer name then the computer details page was opened, if the search returned more then one result then the list was shown. It was a great time saver. In SLM 8 it was not shown anymore as a search option but the page was still there and working. http://SNOWSERVER/Pages/QuickSearch.aspx?type=cmp&search="%COMPUTERNAME%" I'm working a lot with powershell and wrote me some cmdlets to work with SNOW, and one of them used this quick search to open me this page. I noticed lately that it's not working anymore. The page opens but returns no results. Is it working still for someone or one of the latest updates killed this feature for good?

Hi Adam, you are correct this was a great feature in Snow License Manager 7, however this has been removed in Snow License Manager 8. In your case where you are using PowerShell scripts I would recommend you use the API to get your information. Full details are in the Snow KnowledgeBase, available under your service-desk self-service portal

  Indeed, was a very usefull feature... So what do we have to do, to get the search back? Is there something like ideajam for Snow? Best regards Sebastian

  Hi, I know about the API, but in this case it was to actually open a browser and work in SLM. It was removed but it was still there and working till now
