What is "USE_PASSWORD_POLICY"?

Hi,

I can see in System Core Settings in Snow Management and Configuration Center there is an option called "USE_PASSWORD_POLICY".

What Password Policy does this a bind to, and can we edit it?  I assume it might be the Windows Password Policy, but I can't find anything to prove that.

Thanks

Laim

Hi Laim, this Setting is for the system users (Login to smacc and Webinterface) Policy: The password must at least: ▪ Be eight characters long. ▪ Contain one uppercase letter (A-Z). ▪ Contain one lowercase letter (a-z). ▪ Contain one digit (0-9). ▪ Contain one symbol ( ! @ # ¤ $ % ^ & ? = ). You can not Change the policy itself, only enable (Default) or disable

Hello Laim, I don't know if I understand the question correctly. The password policy is defined by Snow and is hard coded and can not be changed. The entry in the SMACC is based for example to create a new user. See the screenshot: Beste regards Hans-Juergen
