How to connect Web applications to SLM?

Hi good people, I need help on how to connect SLM to web applications. I have added a couple of websites that i know is accessed in my environment (just so that i could test it), but i get nothing pulled through from it: With these configs: How do i view what the access details are to this web application? When I go to application list, they don't come up. Am I doing something wrong? Regards Khaleed

Khaleed, If you have followed all the above advice and still have problems look in the snowagent.log file on client machines and look for messages about endpoints. If its not communicating correctly you will have errors like 2017-11-23T07:32:17+00:00; ERROR; snowagent; client\messageloop.cpp; Client::MessageLoop::Handshake; Handshake failed. Cannot connect to server. No endpoint can establish a connection to the server. Regards Warwick

Hi Khaleed, is there a IDX endpoint configured in the snowclient.config? See if so; have you checked if there is a file added in the Snow client directory named webapps.config if this file is not being writen, it can be possible that the snowclient does not have enough write rights. Or the idx endpoint can be configured incorrectly. To troubleshoot, follow the previous mentioned URL. regards Frank

Khaleed - the below link might be of further use to you as this type of question was discussed earlier. Also a side note; when I create the name for the web application, I put (Web) next to the name for an easy search. https://community.snowsoftware.com/message/2846-web-applications-url Regards.

Hi Khaleed, Just to follow up on Franks very useful advice on troubleshooting the client, I just wanted to point out that you wont see the application listed until you have usage data in the database, so once you have created the rule, it will take some time for the clients to get that rule, then you need to use the web site, then a scan needs to run, then the data needs to be posted to Snow and a data update job run, once all that has completed you will see it listed in the All Applications report, you can filter by manufacturer of "Web Application" and it will show you all the web apps you have configured / discovered.
