I saw your response to the question, but this only means that you can add the license for the product. This does not mean that there are recognition rules for the product itself. According to the Oracle Technology Price list, this product can be licensed under any of 3 metrics: Employee User Non-Employee User - External Processor The first 2 are ones that you will not be able to “measure”, but are determined based on the metric definition: Employee User: is defined as an individual authorized by you to use the application programs which are installed on a single server or multiple servers, regardless of whether or not the individual is actively using the programs at any given time. Non Employee User - External : is defined as an individual, who is not your employee, contractor or outsourcer, authorized by you to use the application programs which are installed on a single server or multiple servers, regardless of whether or not the individual is actively using the programs at any given time. These will be handled through Custom Compare Values and will have to match the number of actual Employee users and/or Non-Employee users according to the metric definiton. This number can be hard coded, and updated every quarter or financial year for instance. The last metric (Processor) requires you to inventory where this product is installed and then license the number of Oracle Processors for that specific server. Please be aware that the Processor here is Processor according to Oracle's definition, and not the typical "processor" metric of other products. We need to calculate this number for the all the servers that are running this product. Now this is where we may have an issue. We have added the product to the database, but there are no rules for Windows, and only 1 for Solaris. To manage this product for the Processor metric, we will need to create recognition rules for the OS'es that it can run on, for it to pop-up with inventory. Alternatively recognition rules need to be created at the customer side. Please be aware that this is (again) a bundle of products (almost all Oracle licenses are bundles). Oracle Directory Services Plus is a single integrated package comprised of Oracle Unified Directory, Oracle Directory Server Enterprise Edition (formerly Sun DSEE), Oracle Internet Directory, and Oracle Virtual Directory.

    I reached out to one of our consultants and confirmed that Oracle Directory Services Plus does show up as an application within SLM. This is a screenshot from one of our environments: He also suggests that you may need to make sure you have updated your SRS to the latest version if the application still doesn’t show in your environment.
