6 months notice

One of our subscription licenses is a 5 year term, but renewed annually and we have to give 6 months notice before end of 5 year term. I can create a diary entry in my calendar as a reminder but be rather neat if we could do same in SLM.

We cannot be the only one with some software like this and I am sure this may help for other products.

What do others think?

I believe if you have your agreement set for the 5 year term and then do not associate the licenses with that term, you can create a notification with the 6 month timeline off of the agreement. Then you can create/show the annual costs with the licenses.

  Costs are fine, term of agreement is fine, associated to the licenses and so is the renewal details. However, given that we might have to give 6 months notice, we need to be able to trigger that at the correct time. That's the thing I am interested in.

Hi Mark, I don't think I have come across this scenario (yet). It does sound like something you should be able to do though, rather than add a diary entry somewhere else... Could you not do the following as a possible workaround? Create a master agreement for the whole 5 year period with alerts for 180 days (or longer) Create a sub agreement with a 12 month period with alerts set up 90 days (or which ever you feel is relevant) Assign the license to the sub agreement. You will then get notified every 12 months that the annual renewal is due, and 6 months or longer before the 5 year term ends. Not sure of this is what you are looking for, but hope if may help in some way. Regards Greg

Hi Mark, have you thought about using the 'My Notification' option? You can set the email alert based on several categories of which licenses is one. My Notifications can be found under the home, administration menu option. regards, Jelle
