What privileges does the VMware vCenter user needs to have to be used for Discovery?
I'm struggling with setting up the discovery rule for VMware devices in FNMS and don't seem to able to find a precise info on what kind of privileges the account need to have on vCenters to allow retrieving information.

Normally just an account with read access to the VMware SDK URL is requiered.
What is your current error message during the vCenter scan by the rule executed by a beacon?
You can try the VMware standalone agent to check if you can collect the data this way. Sometimes it can provide additional hints what might be wrong.

You'll need at least "Read-Only" privileges assigned in vCenter.
I looking for specific requirements which exact privilidges we need.
