Can I create a different folder structure for SLM and SIS components installed ?
I am in a process of creating a Test Env. for SLM, my existing production Env. is distributed in 3 different servers but for test I am using 2 servers one for DB and another for SLM and SIS, so the default directory for installation will be Snow Software but I was planning to create 2 separate folder inside it so SLM and SIS and then install the respective components in it, to keep it organized.
This will be done automatically.
If you read the system requirements, you will find the information that up to 5.000 clients you can install SLM, SIS and SIM onto one application server.
Obviously, there is a folder structure under "Snow Software" by default.

Yes you are correct regarding the client as we have consider only 100 servers.
But to keep things Organized I was planning to create 2 separate folder under Snow software for SIS and SLM so that the components are not jumbled.
So will it have any effect if change the default directory ?

just to get this straight.
Instead of having
you'd like to have an additional folder level?
Like "c:\program files\Snow Software\SIS\Snow Inventory" and "c:\program files\Snow Software\SLM\Snow License Manager" ?
The only thing that might be a difference is the "Snow Management and Configuration Center" folder. Maybe Logs, not sure about that.
"Snow Integration Manager" and "Snow Update Service" will be separate anyway.
I have never tried something like this. Not sure if you will end up with two Snow Update Service installation, and that would be a mess in my humble opinion.
