Yes, you can update the internal name of a custom property. You can do so by updating the internal field name in three different tables in the [FNMSCompliance] database:

1. [UIItem] - stores the internal name for all custom fields displayed in the UI
2. [ResourceStringCultureType] - stores the field labels - in all supported languages
3. [AssetTypeProperty] - or better: Pick the correct table for the FNMS object type where you placed the custom field on, storing the values, like [AssetTypeProperty], [ComplianceComputerTypeProperty] ...
