Upgrade status "in progress" even though upgrade seems to be completed. Any Ideas?
We are on FNMS 2024 R1 but just upgraded the beacon from Web UI to 23.0.1 version. Seems like the upgrade was successful because it show's the desired Beacon version in webUI as well as on the splash screen when beacon UI starts.
But in web UI the upgrade status shows as if the upgrade was still in progress.
disable the beacon status upload task on the beacon and review the *.bstat file in "ProgramData\FlexeraSoftware\Incoming\BeaconStatus" for the status information. If everything looks normal it may caused by an UI bug. If an error ist listed or the *.bstat status reflecting the same status as shown in the UI, check the BeaconEngine log for detailed messages. Possibly a BeaconEngineService restart, or a Beacon Server restart could help to solve that.

Are you sure I'm to stop the task on Beacon server?
I just noticed one thing- I currently have 128 files in \BeaconStatus\BadLogs\invalidformat on application server!
Looking at the files dates, the oldest is from yesterday few minutes after I set it to upgrade the beacon, youngest from few minutes from now and there is about 5-15 minutes time difference between each file.
It is always a good idea to restart the service and the scheduled tasks if these components are not working proper.
If the bstat files are currently not processed due to an invalid format, it could be that something went wrong during creating those XML files. To analyse that you can compare these with other ones from a working beacon.
In principle, however, I would recommend a complete re-installation of the Beacon using the latest release, if restarting the service doesn't work.
You should also save all corresponding Business and Inventory adapters so that you can reset them afterwards (e.g. C:\ProgramData\Flexera Software\Beacon\BusinessAdapter)
I did restart the service and the whole beacon server, that did not help.
Unfortunately we only have one beacon so I have nothing to compare with. Would you have any working 23.0.1 beacon that you could intercept a .bstat file from and share (anonymized of course)?
I'm wondering if it can have something to do with the fact that the beacon release is 2024R2 while FNMS itself is still on 2024R1.
The reason I used auto-upgrade feature is that I wanted to make sure no settings are lost during the beacon upgrade. Did it before and worked very well. Unfortunately I can't even downgrade now (via webUI) - it's not picking up.
