Recently installed new environment. When launching SUS GUI it tells me it needs to update itself but then does nothing. Checking the logs I see the following...

...looks like an issue when it is trying to extract the files from the zip file of the downloaded self updater. Anyone seen this or know how to kick back into life?

I also installed a new test environment, separate SLM and SIS servers.
On SLM Server SUS self update worked. But on SIS Server I got the same SUS error. I first thought problem is that we need to configure a Proxy, that was not possible because SUS did not start. Meanwhile I think there is something wrong in SIS setup.
Finally I copied whole SUS directory from my production SIS server.
After that SUS worked.
Thanks for the response Carolai. I can see the zip file that SUS has downloaded (in the Downloads/SelfUpdate folder). I will manually try and open/copy the contents to the SUS folder to see if I can get things working again. Alternatively I will try and copy from a working SLM server. Certainly sounds like an issue with one of the installers having an unexpected manifest version.
This happened to us as well and we fixed it the way Carola did this.
