Cloud Application License Management
Hello All,
I can see multiple cloud application accessed in our environment. As checked, there are some learning website URL's and support portal URL's (like Udemy for Business, LinkedIn Learning, Livestorm, Zoom, etc). Snow shows that these URL's require license.
Kindly suggest, how to manage license in such scenario?
This would depend on the application.
In for example the case of Zoom (cloud) this is set to a metric of User whereas the actual Zoom Meetings software installed on machines is set to no license required.
You would therefore look at your business zoom tenant, see how many paid for users you have and enter in to SLM a license based on the User metric for that paid for user count.
Snow will then sort your compliance out for that Zoom (cloud) app as normal.
You should crosscheck the data with the online admin portal of Linkedin learning, Udemy, etc. Snow will only show those users who open the website from their company PC. Most of these can be opened from their personal device too, and credible usage data will be only visible on the online portal.
