We are upgrading from version 9.6 to 9.25. Is there are document that tells what the differences are between the 2 versions?

Take a look at the release notes for SLM here: Releasenotes (snowsoftware.com)
As there are lots of minor version between the two you state there are lots of changes and fixes including some critical ones so i would suggest going beyond 9.25 to at least 9.30.2 as per it's details.
