Previously, the custom PowerShell scripts (e.g. .snow-ps1) that Snow supplied were encrypted. This meant that if we were using a custom encryption key we had to send Snow support the custom PS scripts we wanted the agent to run, to be encrypted and ensure we set the relevant key in the snowagent.config (i.e. powershell.encryption_key). With the release of v7 of the agent, this has now been deprecated...
..does this mean that I can take one to the Snow supplied agent scripts and push it out to a computer (using the Snow Inventory Server Admin Console) and it will run OK? I'm slightly confused as to the integrity modes and requirment for certificate installation on the endpoint?
This also leads me onto a 2nd point about use of Snow Inventory Server Admin Console. I'm attempting to create a list of devices using the View functionality so I can then target an audience to send PS script to. However when I set the criteria for who to include in the view (in my case using a filter criteria on Application name like '%blah%'), it times-out without returning the results...this is probably understandable if it is generating a slow running SQL statement under the covers...but there is no option to increase the time-out. This same question was asked 6 years ago and there was no option then, has nothing changed since?

Yes, you can still push out the new .ps1 and NOT .snow-ps1 script from C:\ProgramData\SnowSoftware\Inventory\Resources\Powershell Scripts\*.ps1 and your agent must be v7 above.
if you were to include any javascript i.e. sijs.jar make sure to also include sijs.jar.sign file as well.
For view criteria with software - I would suggest reduce your results by using SLM 'Files per computer' criteria i.e. App Manufacturer; App Name; App version etc... and incorporate that in your Snow Inventory Server Admin Console view criteria.
