RAW Inventory Report (Inventory 6)

Hi, maybe someone have an idea. I try to create and export a raw inventory report about "Inventory Admin Console" in SMACC. The first steps works well (set special columns etc.)...My problems starts if I save the selected columns, we have a lot of devices and we run in a timeout, because it is to much data. So, I try to create this report for each machine I need separately. But it is sitll the same problem, I cannot finish it, because the report also end in a time out. I don't know why. Maybe anyone an idea or a solution ? Best regards Sven

Hello Sven, I did a bit of research on this. Currently there is no way to extend the timeout setting for the views. It is considered to be a known limitation in the current SMACC, and the workaround is to limit the query to a smaller result set. If you are a bit familiar with SQL you can use SQL Server Profiler to do a trace of the SnowInventory database while you run the report and extract the SQL query used for the view you created. This query can then be used in SQL management studio to retrieve the result set. (When you do it this way you will not be limited to the DB timeout of the SMACC application.)
