SQL Stand-alone Services are not covered by Standard or Enterprise licenses.

Hello everyone,

I have SQL Server Reporting Services installed separately, not as part of the SQL bundle. I'm attempting to assign standard or enterprise licenses to these servers, but I'm encountering a message that says "No eligible application installed," and it still indicates non-compliance.

Any ideas on what might be missing or how to cover these installation with SQL Licenses?

Regards,

Zaki

  • Hello Zaki,

Reporting Services is recognizes as part of a bundle, as long as SQL Server is installed on the same machine (with SQL server being the mandatory component of the bundle).

This means, no SQL server - no bundle.

What you could try is to add Reporting Services to the downgrade path of the SQL server application.

Not perfect, but should do the trick.

    Regards,

    Axel
